Forth Bridge Raft Race

Children's Art Competition and Exhibition Sponsored by and

Ten years ago Rotarian Gerald Smith approached Tesco and asked if they would sponsor an art competition for our Raft Race day. Tesco readily agreed and have been supporting us, ever since. Rotarian Bob Cleland MBE, now sadly deceased, contacted the local primary schools and the response was excellent. For the first year and every one since some 200 to 300 paintings have been submitted. We are also very grateful to EK:JN Architects, who have agreed to sponsor the competition for the first time this year.

The Ferry Art Club kindly take time to judge the entries, which is no easy task. The standard of work and imagination of the children makes the judging very difficult. However, they do succeed and winner, second and third are chosen for each age group. The age groups are five to seven; eight to ten; eleven to twelve.
